A condition that affects a large number of global sojourners – jet lag causes a large range of symptoms that can ruin time overseas and then make it challenging to come back to normality at home. The traveller’s body has an in-built “clock,” called the circadian rhythm, which pre-empts the cycle of day and night and prepares the body for sleep. It is this rhythm that can be thrown off course as the complication of jet lag.
